In the Holy Qur’an, Ershad is saying,
“Surely there are signs for the wise between the creation of the heavens and the earth and the evolution of night and day.” (Surah Ale Imran: 190).
Regarding the description of this miracle, Allah Ta’ala said,
“He is the One who made the two seas flow in parallel. One is sweet and thirst quenching and the other is salty and tasteless. And between the two there is a gap and an impenetrable wall.” (Surah Furqan: 53).
“Comes elsewhere, ‘he said, flowing two seas side by side. There is a barrier (wall) between them which they do not cross.” (Surah Rahman: 19-20).
It is narrated in the Qur’an,
Regarding the description of obstacles, the Holy Qur’an says, “Who is the barrier between the two seas? So is there a god with God? Basically most of them don’t know.” (Surat an-Naml: 61)
Renowned French oceanographer Jack V Costa. His contribution to various discoveries of the sea floor is undeniable. He has done extensive research on the confluence of the two seas. He realized in his research that the Roman Sea and the Atlantic Ocean were completely different from each other in terms of chemical properties and dimensions. He conducted research at the confluence of two seas in Gibraltar to see for himself. He saw a freshwater fountain overflowing from the north shore of Gibraltar (Marukesh) and the south shore (Spain). This waterfall moves rapidly through both seas at 450 fine angles and acts as a dam, taking the shape of a comb tooth. As a result, the waters of the Roman Sea and the Atlantic Ocean do not merge. Later he was recited the verse narrated in the Qur’an. He saw that his research was in complete agreement with the information given in the Qur’an. Jack V. Costa thought that illiterate people like Muhammad (pbuh) 1400 years ago could not write this information in the Qur’an by observing the bottom of the sea. So how did this great information about marine science come in the Qur’an? Surely the Qur’an is a book of divine truth. It is not man-made. Jack V Costa became a Muslim. Such miracles of the Holy Qur’an have always been proven. Allah Says in Quran:
سَنُرِيهِمْ آيَاتِنَا فِي الآفَاقِ وَفِي أَنفُسِهِمْ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ أَوَلَمْ يَكْفِ بِرَبِّكَ أَنَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ
“We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and in themselves,
until it will become manifest to them that it is the truth.” (Holy Quran, 41:53)
“And He has subjected to you [Sayyidina Mahmood (saws)], as from Him, all that is in the heavens and on earth: Behold, in that are Signs indeed for those who reflect [Contemplate and Meditate].” ( Holy Quran, 45:13)
“He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together.” (Quran, 55:19)
“Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass.” (Quran, 55:20)
“So which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?”(Quran, 55:21)
“We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and in themselves, until it will become manifest to them that it is the truth.” (Holy Quran, 41:53)
“And it is He Who has let free the two seas to flow: One palatable and sweet, and the other salty and bitter. And He has made a barrier between them and an area forbidden (to pass) and isolated.” (Holy Quran 25:53)
In Surat al-Furqan, Allah mentions that in addition to the barrier (Barzakh), (which is also mentioned in Surat ar-Rahman), there is a Hijran Mahjura
حِجْراً مَّحْجُوراً which means a completely separated area, partitioned off and inaccessible.
“He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress.” (Al-Qur’an Rahman 55:19-20)
When the water from one sea enters the other sea, it loses its distinctive characteristic and becomes homogenized with the other water. In a way this barrier serves as a transitional homogenizing area for the two waters. This phenomenon is also mentioned in the following verse of the Qur’an:
“And made a separating bar between the two bodies of flowing water?” (Al-Qur’an Naml 27:61)
“It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: one palatable and sweet, and the other salty and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, to be passed.” (Al-Qur’an Furkan 25:53)
Signs of Paradise
The Prophet (S.A.W.) said,
“When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, a herald will announce: “O people of Paradise! Now you will never get sick again. Always be healthy and wholesome. You will never die, you will live forever. You will always be young, you will never grow old. He will always enjoy endless blessings, it will never end and he will never be in sorrow and starvation.” (Muslim, 2638; Tirmidhi, 3247)
Allah says,
“Hurry to the forgiveness of your Lord and to Paradise, which will be as wide as the heavens and the earth. Which is made for the pious.” (Surah Al-Imran: 133)
Allah says:
“They will enter the Garden of Eternity, and those who do good among their parents and their spouses and their children. And the angels will come to them from every gate and say: Peace be upon you for your patience. And how excellent is the consequence of the Hereafter.” (Surah Ar-Ra’d: 23-24)
Narrated by Mughirah Ibn Shoba (may Allah be pleased with him), The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said “Once Musa (peace be upon him) asked his Lord, ‘Who will be the lowest person in Paradise?’ Allah said: He is the one who will come after admitting the dwellers of Paradise. He will be told, “Enter Paradise.” He will say: O my Lord! How will it be? The people of Paradise have become the owners of their own abode. They have taken what they deserve. He will be asked: Will you be satisfied with the equivalent of the wealth of the empire of any emperor on earth? He will say: O Lord! I’m happy with it. Allah will say: You have been given that amount of wealth, along with it is more equal, more equal, more equal, more equal, more equal; The fifth time he will say, I am satisfied, O my Lord! Allah will say: Ten times more has been given. All this is for you. Moreover, there are things for you that satisfy the mind and fill the eyes. The man will say: O my Lord! I am satisfied. Musa said: O my Lord! Who is the highest among them? Allah says: These are they whose dignity I have established and sealed; I have reserved for them things which no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard, and no imagination has ever arisen in anyone’s heart.”
Allah says in Quran:
وَمَن يَأۡتِهِۦ مُؤۡمِنٗا قَدۡ عَمِلَ صلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱلدَّرَجَٰتُ ٱلۡعُلَىٰ ٧٥ (Surah Taha: 4)
“And those who come to Him (Allah) doing good deeds, for them is the highest rank.” (Surah Ta Ha: 85)
Allah says:
“Your Lord helps them and them with His bounty; And the bounty of your Lord is unceasing. See how We have made some of them superior to others, and the Hereafter is certainly superior in rank and superior in quality.” (Surat al-Isra: 20-21)
Allah says in Quran:
“Among the believers, those who are not incapacitated while sitting at home, and those who strive with their wealth and their lives in the cause of God are not equal. Those who strive with their wealth and their lives, Allah has exalted them above those who are at home; Allah has promised Paradise for each of them. Allah has bestowed a great reward on those who wage jihad against those who sit at home. These are dignity, forgiveness and kindness from him; And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”(Surah An-Nisa: 95-96)
Allah says in Quran,
“Allah will exalt those of you who believe and those who have been given knowledge; And Allah is Well Aware of what you do.”(Surat al-Mujadala:11)
Allah further says:
“Is he who is pleased with Allah, who follows him, like him who has incurred the wrath of Allah and whose abode is Hell?” And what a miserable place of return! To Allah they are of different levels; Allah sees well all that they do.”(Surah Al ‘Imran: 172-183)
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
«إن أهل الجنة يتراءون أهل الغرف من فوقهم, كما يتراءون الكوكب الدري الغابر في الأفق, من المشرق أو المغرب, لتفاضل ما بينهم» قالوا يا رسول الله تلك منازل الأنبياء لا يبلغها غيرهم, قال: «بلى والذي نفسي بيده, رجال آمنوا بالله وصدقوا مُرْسَلِينَ
“The people of Paradise will see the people above them in the same way as you see the bright stars on the eastern or western horizons. This will be due to the difference in their mutual status.“The Companions asked:” O Messenger of Allah! Are those levels the prophets that no one else can benefit from? He said: “Why not! I swear by the entity in whose hand is my soul. Those who believe in God and accept the prophets as true will be able to reach that level.”(Bukhari, 3257, Muslim, 2631)
Allah says,
“The pious will be taken to Paradise in groups. When they reach Paradise through the open door, the Guardians of Paradise will greet them with greetings, peace be upon you, you will be happy and you will enter Paradise to live forever. They will say, “All praise is due to Allah, Who has fulfilled His promise to us and made us inheritors of this land.” We will live in Paradise wherever we wish. What a wonderful reward for those who work hard.” (Surat az-Zumar: 63-64)
Regarding the abode of the people of Paradise, Allah says:
لكن ٱلذين ٱتقوا ربهم لهم غرف من فوقها غرف مبنية تجري من تحتها ٱلأنهر وعد ٱلله لا يخلف ٱلله ٱلميعاد
“For those who are pious, there is room above the room (multi-storey building) and a stream flows beneath it. Allah never breaks His promise.” (Surah Jumar: 20)
Allah says,
Signs and Majesty of Night
“It has been said in the Qur’an, “Allah has made for you the night as a covering, the sleep as a rest, and the day as a wake.” (Surat al-Furqan: 48).
“Glory be to Allah, Who has made the night for you that you may rest therein, and the day to see; Surely Allah is full of bounty to the pure, but most people do not give thanks.” (Surat al-Muminun: 71).
“It has been said in the Qur’an, “Say, ‘Have you ever considered that if Allah made the day to come upon you till the Day of Resurrection, then there is no god but Allah?’ Who can bring a night for you, where you can rest? Do you not see? It is His mercy that He has made for you night and day. So that you may rest (at night) and seek His bounty (during the day), so that you may give thanks to Him.” (Surah Al-Qasas, verses: 62-63).
In the Qur’an, Allah Almighty says, “I have made for you sleep a resting-place and a covering for the night.” (Surah Naba: 09-10)
“The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) liked to offer the Esha prayers one-third of the night late, and disliked sleeping before Esha and talking without Esha after Esha.” (Sahih Bukhari, Ha: 599)
“The result of waking up unnecessarily at night is waking up late in the morning. At present, a large section of the Muslim community starts the day with the exception of Fajr prayers. However, it has been narrated in the hadith that Hazrat Jabir (RA) narrated that the Prophet (SAW) said that the difference between a believer and a disbeliever is prayer.”(Muslim, Ha. 134)
“Allah says in the Holy Qur’aan about the dwellers of Paradise that they ask forgiveness on the last night.” (Surah Jariyat: 18)
According to the narration of Hazrat Sakhar Ghamdi (R.A.), “The Prophet (SAW) prayed, O Allah, bless the beginning of the day for my Ummah. That is why the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to send troops at the beginning of the day when he was on a mission. The narrator said that Hazrat Sakhar (ra) also used to start his business activities in the morning. This greatly improved his business and he gained unlimited abundance.” (Sunan Abi Dawood: 2606)
“The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) disliked talking after the Isha prayer and staying up late until late at night. However, he would sometimes stay up at night to teach religion and would often go to Abu Bakr’s house at night for good advice on Muslims.” (Tahabi Sharif, H: 8203)
“The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that waking up late at night is tiring and burdensome.” (Sunan Daremi, H: 1835)
“Addressing the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), Allah says in the Holy Qur’an, ‘And keep reciting Tahajjud for some part of the night. This is one of your additional duties. Hopefully, your Lord will place you in Makkah Mahmud.” (Surat al-Isra: 69)
It is mentioned in Surah Al-Muzammil of the Qur’an, “Of course, waking up at night is very effective in suppressing the mind, and reciting the Qur’an at that time is absolutely correct.”
Verse 64 of Surah Al-Furqan says, “The beloved servants of Allah are those who prostrate themselves before their Lord and spend the night standing.”
“They were absolutely patient in the ordeal, steadfast, truthful, absolutely loyal. Sacrificing wealth in the way of Allah and seeking forgiveness from Allah in the last watch of the night.” (Surah Ale Imran: 16)
The importance of Tahajjud has also been mentioned in Hadith Sharif. Mishkatul Masabih quotes Sunan Ahmad as saying, ‘Narrated from Abu Hurairah, he said,‘ I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say. Afzalus Salati Badal Mafrudati Salatul Laili ‘means the best prayers after the obligatory prayers are the prayers of Tahajjud. (Hadith no. 117/2)
In another hadith narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (R.A.), “The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘Allah descends to the nearest heaven every night when the last third of the night remains. He kept saying – who are you to call me, and I will answer his call? Who will ask me for something, and I will give it to him? Who is there to ask forgiveness from me and I will forgive him?” (Bukhari and Muslim)
“The author of Mishkatul Masabih, Abu Saeed Khudri, mentions a hadith. It has been said, ‘The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah is pleased with three people (Hasan). The person who gets up for Tahajjud and prays. Two. Crowds, who stand in line for prayers. Three. Mujahideen who stand in line to fight in the way of Allah.” (Hadith No. 1160/2)
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said in a hadeeth, “The best fast after Ramadan is the fast in the month of Muharram, and the best prayer after the obligatory prayer is the night prayer’ (Tahajjud prayers).”
Allah Almighty has said in the Holy Qur’an, “Is he who worships at night by prostration or standing, fears the Hereafter and expects the mercy of his Lord? He who does not do so.” (Surah Jumu’ah, verse no. 9).
Allah has narrated to them that “They (the God-fearing) used to sleep only a small part of the night and in the last watch of the night they would ask for forgiveness.” (Surah Az-Zariyat, verses 17-18).
In the best commentator of the Qur’an, Abdullah bin Abbas (R.A.) says, “Whoever seeks an easy reckoning on the Day of Judgment, Allah should find him prostrating and standing in the darkness of night. He must also have the thought of the Hereafter and the expectation of mercy.” (Qurtubi in Tafsir, Ma’areful Qur’an, Qiyamul Lail).
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said in a hadeeth narrated from Hazrat Abu Malik al-Ashari (may Allah be pleased with him), “There will be rooms in Paradise whose inner part will be visible from the outside and the outer part from the inside.” The Companions asked, “O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! For whom? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, ‘Whoever greets, feeds the hungry, and at night, when everyone is asleep, performs the tahajjud prayer.” (Musnad Ahmad, Bayhaqi Tirmidhi) (Mazhari in Tafsir, Ma’areful Qur’an)
It is narrated on the authority of Asma bint Yazid that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Today, you will know who has the highest honor and dignity in the sight of Allah. Then the angel will call on the people who have the quality of ‘whose side is separated from the bed’ to stand. Hearing this voice, these people (Tahajjudgujar) will stand up, whose number will be very insignificant. They will be sent to heaven without reckoning. Then all the other people will stand up and their account will be taken.” (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Mazhari, Ma’ariful Qur’an).
The Great Challenge to Produce One Chapter Like the Chapters of the Holy Quran
God has said in the Quran:
“And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed (the Quran) to Our worshiper (Muhammad ), then produce a chapter like it, and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides God if you are truthful. And if you do not do it, and you can never do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones. It has been prepared for disbelievers. And give good news (O Muhammad) to those who believe and do good deeds, that for them are gardens (Paradise) in which rivers flow.” (Quran, 2:23-25)
Ever since the Quran was revealed, fourteen centuries ago, no one has been able to produce a single chapter like the chapters of the Quran in their beauty, eloquence, splendor, wise legislation, true information, true prophecy, and other perfect attributes. Also, note that the smallest chapter in the Quran (Chapter 108) is only ten words, yet no one has ever been able to meet this challenge, then or today. Some of the disbelieving Arabs who were enemies of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) tried to meet this challenge to prove that Muhammad (PBUH) was not a true prophet, but they failed to do so. This failure was despite the fact that the Quran was revealed in their own language and dialect and that the Arabs at the time of Muhammad (PBUH) were a very eloquent people who used to compose beautiful and excellent poetry, still read and appreciated today.
Mystery of the Creation of Jinn
Allah has mentioned in a verse of the Holy Qur’an. He said, “I have not created the jinn and mankind except that they should serve Me” (Surah Jariyat, verse 56).
Allah says- “I have created man from a mold of dry clay. And before that I created the jinn from the heat of hot air.” (Surah Al-Hijr 15: 26,28)
“Their genes have been named because they are hidden from the eyes of the human race. Iblis (Satan) belongs to the jinn world, although he was among the angels when Allah commanded Adam to prostrate. When he refused to prostrate and was asked the reason for his disobedience. About which Allah says: He said, “I am better than him. You created me from fire, and created him from dust.” (Surah Saad 38:8)
Allah says about the believing jinn in Surah Al-Jinn: “It has been revealed to me that a party of the jinn listened attentively and said: I too have listened to a wonderful Quran. That which guides to the right path, so that we believe in it. We will never associate any partner with our Lord, and surely our Lord, the Most High, has taken neither a wife nor a son. And that the foolish among us used to utter very unrealistic things about Allah.” (Surah Al-Jinn 72: 1-4)
“Some of us surrender and some transgressors; those who surrender deliberately choose the path of truth. On the other hand, transgressors are the fuel of Hell.” (Surah Al-Jinn 72: 14-15)
Allah says in Quran, “Indeed, one of the jinn, ifrit (a strong or bad jinn), spat to break my prayer last night.” However, Allah helped me to defeat him and I wanted to tie him to a pillar of the mosque so that you could see him in the morning. Then the prayer of my brother Solomon came to was given this power. No one else has been given the power to control the genes and no one can. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said mind: “My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom to which none belongs except me.” (Quran, 37:35)
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) described how the jinn gather news about the future. He narrates that, “The jinn first traveled to the upper part of the sky and were able to hear some information about the future that the angels were saying to themselves. Then they would return to the earth and pass that information on to people they knew.” (Bukhari and Muslim)
Allah further says: “I keep him safe from every accursed devil; And if anyone wants to steal and listen to the news, follow him and ignite the flame.” (Surah Al-Hijr 15: 16-17)
When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and a group of his Companions set out for the Uqadah Bazaar, the Shaytaan was prevented from hearing the divine news. Meteorites were dropped on them. So they returned to their people. When their people asked what had happened, they told them. Some suggested that something must have happened, so they scattered around the world to find out the cause. Some of them saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his Companions praying and they heard them reciting the Qur’an. They said to themselves, “Surely this is what prevented them from hearing.” When they returned to their people, they said, “We have heard a wonderful Qur’an.”
Ibn ‘Abbas (R.A.) said: “Which leads to the right path, so we have come to believe in it. We will never associate any partner with our Lord.” (Surah Al-Jinn 72: 1-2) (Al-Bukhari, Muslim, At-Tirmidhi and Ahmad)
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “There are some parts of the truth that Jinn steals and tells to his friend but he adds a hundred lies to it. Ayesha (R.A.) narrates that when she asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about the fortune tellers, he replied that they were nothing.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
The Whole Creation Prostrates before Allah
The sky, the wind, the trees, the stars, the wings, the trees, the water, all the creatures of the earth and the heavens and the earth are all created by God. Everything in this huge creation world worships the great Lord. Everyone bowed their head in the court of Alamin. Only disobedient slaves are found in mankind. No other creature is disobedient to God Almighty. Everyone is obedient and loyal. Everyone prostrates to God. In the Holy Qur’an, Irshad says, “Have you not seen that there is in the heavens and the earth, the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the beasts and the animals and many people who worship Allah? Punishment is due to many. No one can honor him. God does whatever He wills.” (Surah Hajj: 16)
Everything in the world prostrates for the great God. Irshad has said, ‘And prostrate to Allah whatever is in the heavens and the earth and their shadows (prostrate) morning and evening ও willingly and unwillingly.’ (Surah Rad, verse: 15)
To show the lost mankind to be grateful to their Lord, the Almighty Lord further said, “Among His Signs are the day, the night, the sun and the moon. You shall not prostrate to the sun, nor to the moon; Worship Him.” (Surah Ha-Meem: 36). The Holy Qur’an further states, “They prostrate to Allah in all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and the angels; they are not arrogant.” (Surah Nahl:49-50). The Great Creator calls upon His beloved servants to perform regular prayers and other acts of worship, and says, “O you who believe, bow down, prostrate yourselves, worship your Lord, and do good deeds, so that you may prosper.” (Surat al-Hajj: 7)
One of the purposes of human creation is to worship Allah. The essence of worship is to surrender oneself most humbly to the highest being. Literally it is all possible through prostration. At the beginning of human creation, the original father Adam (peace be upon him) was instructed to prostrate by making it the ‘Qibla’. This instruction was directly to Iblis and indirectly to the angels. The angels follow this instruction. But Iblis refuses to prostrate. The greatness and significance of prostration is revealed through this incident. Prostration was never an act of worship for Adam (pbuh). Rather, it was to show respect for mankind. In fact, prostration is the due of Allah and the best of all acts of worship towards Allah. Allah Almighty has instructed people to pray. Since then, people all over the world have determined the Kaaba as a symbol of prostration. As a result, people all over the world have been using the Kaaba as a Qibla by the command of Allah. In the same way, at the beginning of creation, Adam (peace be upon him) was instructed to make ‘Qibla’ and prostrate.
Everything in the world prostrates for the great God. Irshad has said, “And prostrate to Allah whatever is in the heavens and the earth and their shadows (prostrate) morning and evening ও willingly and unwillingly.” (Surah Rad: 15)
Elsewhere Allah further says, “Do you not see that Allah prostrates all that is in the heavens and the earth, the sun, the moon, the constellations, the mountains, the trees, the animals and many people. And many people (who refused to prostrate) have been punished. And whomsoever Allah humiliates, there is none to honor him. Surely Allah does what He wills.” (Surah Hajj: 17)
All living and inanimate things in the heavens and the earth worship or prostrate to Allah. But no one will be accounted for and tested except humans and genes. This test of prostration will be in this world and in the hereafter. A group prostrates to Allah in the world. In the trial of the Hereafter too, this party will be victorious by prostrating under the feet of Allah, reaching the nearness of Allah.
Will live happily in eternal paradise. Others, on the other hand, do not prostrate to God. They do not surrender to God. Concerning them, Allah the Almighty said, “So what is the matter with them that they do not believe, and when the Qur’an is recited to them, they do not make obeisance?” (Surah Inshiqaq, verses 20-21)
This group of disbelievers will not be able to prostrate in the Hereafter in the test of Allah because they do not prostrate. As a result, they will be thrown into Hell. In this regard, Allah said in Quran, “Remember, the day when the ankles will be exposed and they will be called to prostrate, but they will not be able to do so.”
“They will be humbled, they will be humiliated. But when they were healthy and normal, they were called to prostrate. So leave those who deny this word in my hands, I will catch them so slowly that they will not know.” (Surah: Qalam: 42-44)
In this regard, it has been narrated in the hadith, “On the Day of Resurrection, Allah the Almighty will say to the people, Am I your Lord? Everyone will say, yes, you are our Lord. (At that time) no one will speak to him except the prophets. God will ask them, “Do you know any sign of it?” They will say, the freshness of the foot tube. At that time the foot tube will be opened. Then all the believers will fall in prostration. But those who prostrated themselves before Allah in the world will remain. If they want to prostrate at that time, the bones of their spine will harden and become like a plank (so they will not be able to prostrate).” (Bukhari, Hadith: 6439)
Not only in the lower world, but also in the upper world. There the angels prostrate before God Almighty. Irshad said, “Do they not look at the things created by Allah? Their shadows fall to the right and to the left, prostrating themselves to God humbly? All the creatures in the heavens and the earth prostrate to God, and so do the angels. And they are not arrogant.” (Surah Nahl: 48-49)
Narrated Abu Hurairah (R.A.), The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “The servant is closer to Allah when he prostrates. So keep on praying more.” (Muslim, Hadith: 462)
Narrated Rabi’ah Ibn Qab (may Allah be pleased with him), he said, “I used to spend the night with the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him). Once I fetched water for his aju and istenja. Then he said to me, if you have something to ask, you can ask. Then I asked, O Messenger of Allah! I want to be in paradise with you. Rasulullah (peace be upon him) said, do you want anything other than that? I said, that’s what I want. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘Then help me in this matter by prostrating more and more.” (Muslim, Hadith: 479)
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “I will be able to recognize any of my ummah on the Day of Resurrection. The disciples ask, How do you recognize them among so many people? He said, “If you enter a stable where there are only black horses with white hands, feet and mouths, will you not be able to distinguish between the two?” The disciples said, “Yes, I can.” He said, “On that day, the face of my ummah will be white because of prostration, and the hands and feet will be bright white because of aju.” (Musnad Ahmad, Hadith: 2637)
The Quran on Human Embryonic Development
In the Holy Quran, God speaks about the stages of man’s embryonic development:
“We created man from an extract of clay. Then We made him as a drop in a place of settlement, firmly fixed. Then We made the drop into an alaqah (leech, suspended thing, and blood clot), then We made the alaqah into a mudghah (chewed substance).” (Quran, 23:12-14)
How did Muhammad (PBUH) know this over 1400 years ago if scientific experts had found this recently utilizing advanced technology and powerful microscopes which did not exist at that time? In 1677 (more than 1,000 years after Muhammad (PBUH) Hamm and Leeuwenhoek was the first scientists to use an improved microscope to see human sperm cells (sperm cells). The sperm cell was incorrectly assumed to contain a small person that grew when implanted in the female vaginal canal. (Persaud and Moore)
Professor Emeritus Keith L. Moore is one of the world’s most prominent scientists in the fields of anatomy and embryology and is the author of the book entitled The Developing Human, which has been translated into eight languages. This book is a scientific reference work and was chosen by a special committee in the United States as the best book authored by one person. Dr. Keith Moore is Professor Emeritus of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Toronto, Canada. There, he was Associate Dean of Basic Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine and for 8 years was the Chairman of the Department of Anatomy. In 1984, he received the most distinguished award presented in the field of anatomy in Canada, the J.C.B. Grant Award from the Canadian Association of Anatomists. He has directed many international associations, such as the Canadian and American Association of Anatomists and the Council of the Union of Biological Sciences.
Professor Moore said during Saudi Arabia’s Seventh Medical Conference in Dammam in 1981: “It has been a great pleasure for me to help clarify statements in the Quran about human development. It is clear to me that these statements must have come to Muhammad from God, because almost all of this knowledge was not discovered until many centuries later. This proves to me that Muhammad (PBUH) must have been a messenger of God.” Consequently, Professor Moore was asked the following question: “Does this mean that you believe that the Quran is the word of God?” He replied: “I find no difficulty in accepting this.”
During one conference, Professor Moore stated: “Because the staging of human embryos is complex, owing to the continuous process of change during development, it is proposed that a new system of classification could be developed using the terms mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah (what Muhammad said, did, or approved of). The proposed system is simple, comprehensive, and conforms with present embryological knowledge. The intensive studies of the Quran and hadith (reliably transmitted reports by the Prophet Muhammad’s companions of what he said, did, or approved of) in the last four years have revealed a system for classifying human embryos that is amazing since it was recorded in the seventh century A.D. Although Aristotle, the founder of the science of embryology, realized that chick embryos developed in stages from his studies of hen’s eggs in the fourth century B.C., he did not give any details about these stages. As far as it is known from the history of embryology, little was known about the staging and classification of human embryos until the twentieth century. For this reason, the descriptions of the human embryo in the Quran cannot be based on scientific knowledge in the seventh century. The only reasonable conclusion is: these descriptions were revealed to Muhammad from God. He could not have known such details because he was an illiterate man with absolutely no scientific training.”
However, there are some verses in the Qur’an about which modern embryology has no idea. As a result, he could not comment on its authenticity. One such verse is,
“Read (Proclaim!) In the Name of your Lord Who created” (Surah Alaq:1)
“Created man, out of a clot (of congealed blood). (Surah Alaq:2)
Dr. Keith Moore had no idea if a fetus in the womb looked like a hanging leech. He began careful research on embryos to test the subject. Using a powerful microscope, he observed the fetus in the womb and compared it to the structure of a leech. He was amazed at the surprising harmony between the two.
In the same way, he studied various aspects of embryology that are unknown in the Qur’an. He uses information from the Qur’an and Hadith to solve eight new issues about embryology. After researching the Qur’anic verses on embryology, he said, “Even if I had been asked about these things thirty years ago, I might not have been able to answer even half of it.”
Dr. T.V. N. Persaud is Professor of Anatomy at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Professor in Child Health and Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science. For sixteen years, he was president of the Anatomy Department. In his field he is well renowned. He has authored more than 181 science papers and is the author or editor of 22 textbooks. In 1991, the J.C.B. Grant Award from the Canadian Association of Anatomists won the most prominent anatomy award in Canada. When asked about the scientific wonders he has investigated in the Quran, he answered that:
“Mohammad (PBUH) was a pretty ordinary guy as it has been explained to me. He didn’t know [how] to write, he couldn’t read. He was actually an analphabet. And twelve [really approximately 14] a hundred years ago, we are talking about it. You have someone uneducated to make meaningful remarks, comments and scientific assertions which are quite true. And I can’t see myself how a mere opportunity it may be. It’s too accurate, and like Dr. Moore, I don’t have a hard time thinking that this is a divine inspiration or revelation that led him to those declarations.”
In some of his writings Professor Persaud’s Quranic passages and Prophet Muhammad’s words were incorporated. He also delivered the Prophet Muhammad’s verses and statements at several gatherings.
Dr Joe Leigh Simpson has been the President of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Baylor College of Medication, Houston, Texas and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He was previously professor of Ob-Gyn at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, Tennessee, USA and president of the Department of ob-Gyn. He also was chairman of the American Fertility Society. He got several accolades, including a 1992 Prize for Obstetrics and Gynecology Professors. The following two Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) words were investigated by Professor Simpson:
He researched extensively both of these words of Prophet Muhammad and noted that the initial 40 days were an obvious phase of embryo-genesis. The perfect precision and precise words of Prophet Muhammad impacted him in particular (PBUH). Then he expressed the following views at one conference:
“As a result, the two hadiths (Prophet Muhammad S.A.W’s statements) that are documented give us a clear time table before forty days for the principal embryological development.”
“I am really impressed to see real astronomical truths in the Qur’an, and current astronomers have studied relatively little parts of the universe for us. Our attempts to understand the [a] very small portion have been focussed. Since we only observe relatively few sections [of] the sky with the aid of telescopes without thinking [about] the entire cosmos. So I believe I can find my future approach to investigate the cosmos by reading [the] Quran and by answering questions.”
The Anatomy Department at Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, in Thailand is chaired by Prof. Tejatat Tejasen. He previously had been the Dean at the same university of the Faculty of Medicine. Professor Tejasen stood up and said during the Eight Saudi Medical Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia:
“I’ve been interested in the Quran during the last three years. I feel that everything contained in the Quran 1400 years ago must be the truly pro-active truth from my studies and from what I learned at this lecture.”
The Quran on Mountains
According to Lutgens and Tarbuck, a book entitled Earth is a fundamental reference material in many colleges throughout the world and One of its two authors is Professor Emeritus Frank Press. For the last 12 years, he was President of the National Academy of Sciences, Washington, DC. He has been science adviser to former US President Jimmy Carter. His book says about the basic roots of the mountains. These roots are firmly built into the ground, therefore the mountains have a form like a peg. The Quran characterized the mountains in that respect. Allah has said in the Quran:
اَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْاَرْضَ مِهٰدًا ۙ
وَّالْجِبَالَ اَوْتَادًا ۙ
“Have We not made the earth as a bed, and the mountains as pegs?” (Quran, 78:6-7)
In the Quran, Allah (S.W.T) said:
وَاَلْقٰى فِى الْاَرْضِ رَوَاسِىَ اَنْ تَمِيْدَ بِكُمْ وَاَنْهٰرًا وَّسُبُلًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُوْنَۙ
“And He has set firm mountains in the earth so that it would not shake with you.” (Quran, 16:15)
Likewise, the contemporary platform tectonic theory argues that mountains operate for the earth as stabilizers. Since the end of 1960, this understanding of the place of mountains as earth stabilizers has become understandable within the context of plate tectonics (El-Naggar).
Could anyone have recognized the genuine mountain shape during Prophet Muhammad’s time? Can anyone think that, as scientists claim, the solid enormous mountain before it stretches far down into the world and has a root? A big number of geological literature describe solely that part above the surface of the earth while describing mountains. Because these books have not been written by geological experts. However, the reality of the Quranic scriptures was proved by modern geology.
The Sound of Azan is the Best Melody
The word azan is arabic, which means to announce. Azan’s one of Islam’s emblems. The heart of all believers is illuminated by the force of faith through Azan. The fascinating call to prayer leads to success; Allah is great; rich, black-and-white, low-intensity, peasant workers all come together. It’s no distinction. All of us join the shoulder to shoulder in a row. In thankfulness to the Almighty Lord, he bent his head down in prostration. The melody of the call to priesthood in the muezzin’s voice is so exquisite that it soothes the hearts of faithful as well as non-Muslims. The azan’s music is so fascinating, it reaches the mind, the mind wants to hear again and again that wonderful tune.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala said :
واذن من الله ورسوله الي الناس يوم احج الاكبر ان الله برئ من المشركين . ورسول
“And [it is] an announcement from Allah and His Messenger to the people on the day of the greater pilgrimage that Allah is disassociated from the disbelievers, and [so is] His Messenger.” (Surah At-Tawbah: 3)
Abu Huriarah (R.A.) told that Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa sallam said : “If Azan is gone out to pray, Satan go and fart until it does not hear Azan. If mu’adzin finishes Azan, it come and go again when the Iqamat calls.” (Narrated by Bukhari, Muslim)
From the minaret of the mosque, the muezzin calls for the welfare of the people five times a day in a melodious voice. Azan is this sweet call. The unique means of attaining the nearness of the great Lord is the incomparable fragrance of Paradise. Walking in the presence of the Lord like a self-absorbed madman in the lush garden of peace. This call to prayer is the key to the welfare and success of the believing Muslims in this world and the hereafter. But the unbelievers consider Azan as a joke. What has come up in the
Qur’an is as follows: وَذِذَا نَادَيْتُمْ لَِلَى الصَّلاَةِ اتَّخَذُوهَا هُزُوًا “Because they are ignorant.” (Surah Maeda: 58)
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When it is time for prayer, and you are two, then one of you will give the azan and iqaamah, and the eldest of the two will lead the prayer.” (Bukhari)
From Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu anhu informed the word of Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam : “If people know how big is reward of Azan and the first raw, then they cannot get it except by lottery, they will vote to get it.” (Narrated by Bukhari, Muslim)
It is also narrated by Bukhari : “It is not Jinn, human and there is nothing that hear the voice of Azan from a mu’adzin, except it will become a good witness for Mu’adzin in the Hereafter later.” (Narrated by Bukhari)
Ibn Umar (R.A.) said : Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa sallam said : “Mu’adzin will be forgiven in the end of his Azan, and every et and dry thing which hear Azan will ask forgiveness for him.” (Narrated by Ahmad)
Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa sallam prayed Imam and Mu’adzin : “O Allah, give ingenuousness for Imam and forgive Mu’adzin.” (Narrated by Abu Dawud)
It is explained in a hadith : “Mu’adzin gets reward like the reward of people who pray with him.” (Narrated by An Nasa’i)
As it is explained in a hadith : “Your Lord wonders to a shepherd on the top of mountain, he peals Azan to pray, then he prays. Then Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala said : “Look at my servant, he peals Azan and Iqamat to pray, he is afraid to Me, I has forgiven my servant and entered him to the Heaven.” (Narrated by Abu Dawud and An Nasa’i)
From Abu Hurairah (R.A.) said : “We have heard with Rasulullah SAW, then Bilal stood to peal Azan, then when he finished, Rasulullah SAW said ‘whoever say like this surely, he will enter to the Heaven.” (Al Hadith)
This call to prayer is heard every day all over the world. That is why the Muslim Ummah gets the key to establishing peace, harmony and unity from the call to prayer. So the believer will rush towards the mosque at the sound of the melodious call to prayer will create the welfare of the world and the hereafter and the ultimate success.
The Quran on Deep Seas and Internal Waves
Allah has said in the Quran:
“Or (the unbelievers’ state) is like the darkness in a deep sea. It is covered by waves, above which are waves, above which are clouds. Darknesses, one above another. If a man stretches out his hand, he cannot see it.” (Quran, 24:40)
This verse mentions the deep water and ocean darkness, which a man can’t see if he stretches his hand out. Darkness is found about 200 meters below in deep seas and oceans. There’s nearly no light at this depth. There is no light under a depth of 1000 metres. Without the aid of submarines or other equipment human beings cannot dive more than 40 meters. In the deep dark region of the sea, such as 200 meters deep, people cannot endure unholy. Specific technology and underwater components have lately been used to find this darkness that allowed them to plunge into the depths of the oceans. The second set of waves is obviously the surface wave that we see, because the verse says there are clouds above the second wave. But the first waves, what about? Scientists recently found that “internal waves arise on interfaces in the density between distinct density levels. Internal waves cannot be viewed by the naked eye, but can be discovered at a given area by examining variations in temperature or salinity.
