Liquid Gold Honey Boosts Immunity

Honey has been widely used for its therapeutic properties, as a natural product. It’s only nectar collected by bees from the petals of various flowers. For hundreds of years, Honey has been a common sweetener for food and a strong medicine tool.
Effects of honey on the Immune System
Honey consumed has been suggested to affect the human immune response and related systems via many favorable effects. Honey was actually shown to support the propagation of human peripheral blood B and T lymphocytes and the activation of neutrophils under cell culture conditions (Abuharfeil, 1999).
Honey has been found to promote an inflammatory cytokine release, including the alpha-factor of tumor necrosis, interleukin-1β and interleukin-6 (Tonks et al., 2003). can stimulate a multitude of immune response actions against infection (Molan, 2002). In mice, the ingestion of a honey-additioned meal has also been reported to increase the generation of antibodies against thymus-dependent and independent antigens, both during primary and secondary immunological responses (Waili and Haq, 2004).
Nutritional benefits
Honey has been observed to improve physical performance and fatigue resistance, especially for repeated efforts; it also contributes to increased mental effectiveness. The healthy as well as the sick are therefore employed for any type of weakness, in particular for digestive or assimilative difficulties. Healthier growth of newborn babies that are not breastfeed, improved bones and anaemia and anorexia can all be a factor in some nutritional advantage or encouragement of food melancholy (Krell, 1996).

Advantages of the Digestive System
Studies of several gastrointestinal illnesses have reported beneficial treatment. Honey is known to increase food assimilation and help for chronic and infectious diseases of the intestines such as constipation, duodenal ulcers and liver disorders (Haffejee, 1985).
Study shows that honey is a well-known cure for colds and mouth, throat or bronchial irritation and infections in temperate climates, and regions with significant temperature variations. The benefits are supposedly related to the calming and relaxing impact of fructose, besides antimicrobial effects (Krell, 1996).
Eye Disease Benefits
A study has shown that honey lowers and cures eye cataracts, conjunctivitis and many corneal diseases when administered directly to the eye and clinical cases or traditional claims (Mikhailov, 1950). The antioxidant properties of honey and conventional therapy in alkaline damage on New Zealand White rabbits were explored and compared by one study (Bashkaran et al., 2011).
Medicine of Ayurveda
Use honey mainly as a means to quickly absorb several medicines like herbal extracts. Secondly, certain specific disorders, especially connected to respiratory irritation and infections, mouth sores and eye cataracts, should also be treated. It also acts as an overall tonic for young and old, convalescent and hard-working farmers and newborn children (Narayana, 1970).
It is said that certain authors or scientists regarded sweetheart as food rather than as medication since, most of the aforementioned advantage may be defined as nutritional effects of any kind, at least for internal consumption. On the other hand, our scientific understanding of cause and effect usually only confirms whether a single substance has significantly defined symptoms, if it is much too narrow to possible explain more complicated and subtle, especially synergistic interactions (Krell, 1996).
Energetic and Non-energetic Nutrients of Honey
Research has shown that as food, sweet maltose consists principally of simple sugars, which provide a basis for nearly every indication of how, when and why they should be employed. Honey rapidly offers calories from which its energy value is obtained for healthy and sick people: rapid energy access without lengthy or complex digestive activity. The same direct absorption also carried a danger of disordered sugar metabolism such as diabetes and obesity. Considering non-energetic nutrients, it is recommended that sometimes honey should have any major complement in a deficient diet because of its ingredients in other nutrients such as vitamins and minerals (Krell, 1996).
Antibacterial Activity of Honey
The antiseptic substances (i.e. propolis) have been employed as honey and beehive-related substances since at least Aristotle time (Molan, 2002). Although honey has an obvious anti-microbial ability, as demonstrated via its efficient inhibits bacterial and fungal proliferation and development, there appears to be no convincing cause suggesting that the antioxidant components present could have a combination or synergic impact (Viuda-Martos et al., 2008).
Because of his stunning formulation, Honey is actually dubbed liquid gold. However, these honey benefits were just found by new age science, whereas in the Quran, dating back many years, the advantage of honey in Islam has been revealed. Honey is one of the Paradise meals, while the Qur’an speaks explicitly of Jannah’s honey flowing rivers.
Turning to the words on sweetness and healing found in the Quran, sweetness is demonstrated by experts to be a painless way to cure diseases and burns. Honey not only helps to develop new cell tissues and so provides a complete healing process. It’s a great sweetheart miracle.
Allah, the Almighty, has placed so much importance and shifa in Honey that he revealed an entire Surah by the name of Bees – Surah Al Nahl in which he says,
“Your Lord revealed to the bees: “Build dwellings in the mountains and the trees, and also in the structures which men erect. Then eat from every kind of fruit and travel the paths of your Lord, which have been made easy for you to follow.” From inside them comes a drink of varying colours, containing healing for mankind. There is certainly a Sign in that for people who reflect.” (Qur’an, 16:69)
Allah subhanahu wa ta’la ordered the bees to make honey which will be the healing for mankind.
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) once said,
“By Him in whose hand is my soul, eat honey, for there is no house in which honey is kept for which the angels will not ask for mercy. If a person eats honey, a thousand remedies enter his stomach, and a million diseases will come out. If a man dies and honey is found within him, fire will not touch his body.” (Chaghhayni M. Tibb al-nabbi. Trans. C Elgood. Osiris 1962; 14: 188)
Health benefits of honey also circulate to us through hadeeth, many of which recommend honey as medicine providing cure for many diseases and a complete shifa.
Narrated by Abu Said Al-Khudri (R.A.): “A man came to the Prophet and said, “My brother has some abdominal trouble.” The Prophet said to him “Let him drink honey.” The man came for the second time and the Prophet said to him, ‘Let him drink honey.” He came for the third time and the Prophet said, “Let him drink honey.” He returned again and said, “I have done that. ‘ The Prophet then said, “Allah has said the truth, but your brother’s abdomen has told a lie. Let him drink honey.” So he made him drink honey and he was cured.”
Returning to the Quran’s statements on honey and healing, doctors have demonstrated that honey is a painless way to heal wounds and illnesses. Honey also aids in the regeneration of new cell tissues, resulting in total healing. This is a gigantic honey miracle.
“There are two cures for you: honey and the Qur’an.” (Ibn Majah M. Sunan)
Subhan Allah, the words of Allah and his Prophet are definitely true. And thus, we see how Allah has blessed us with one of his many wonders that lie in honey.
